BRENDA BRAXTON (Clarity) starred as Velma Kelly opposite Usher in Broadway’s hit musical Chicago. Prior to that, she was featured on Broadway in the musical revue Smokey Joe’s Cafe, that earned her a 1995 Tony Award nomination, the NAACP Theater Award, the city of Chicago’s Jefferson Award and a Grammy Award for Best Cast Album. Other Broadway credits include Jelly’s Last Jam, Cats, Legs Diamond and the original production of Dreamgirls. She received the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. “Living the Dream” Award given by New York Gov. George Pataki and the Josephine Baker Award from the National Council of Negro Women for her work as founder of Leading Ladies Just for Teens, seminars geared to empowering teenage girls.In November 2006, she launched BBRAXTON; Exceptional Grooming for Exceptional Men, an upscale men’s grooming salon in Harlem. The first salon of its kind, BBRAXTON offers men’s grooming services for the discriminating customer.

Keith Hines (Buck, Twilight Dude, Bourbon Cowboy, Eve, Naked Peter) is Fired UP to be joining the amazing cast and crew of COUGAR THE MUSICAL!  Some of Keith’s favorite roles have been Enjolras in Les Mis, Lancelot in Camelot, Thomas Jefferson in 1776, Bud in Urban Cowboy, John Proctor in The Crucible, Hal in Picnic, and Beralde in The Imaginary Invalid.  Keith graduated from Oklahoma City University where he studied with Florence Birdwell, and studied acting at Jayd McCarty’s The Studio N/Y.  Eternal thanks to my family, Arnold Mungioli, and to Mark, Chuck, Justin, and Kristin at BRS.

DANNY BERNARDY (Buck, Twilight Dude, Bourbon Cowboy, Eve, Naked Peter through June 2013) Off-Broadway: OYL Theater Co. (core acting member). Also: NY Classical Theater, SoHo playhouse and workshops at the York and NY Theater Workshop. Regional: Maple and Vine (A.C.T.), Moon Over Buffalo (Cape Playhouse, w/Gary Beach), Picasso at the Lapin Agile (Delaware Theatre Company), and Vincent in Brixton (Virginia Stage Company). Film and TV credits include ABC’s One Life to Live (recurring), CBS’As the World Turns and the indie film trilogy, Curious Thing. BFA, Carnegie Mellon.

ANDREW BREWER (Buck, Twilight Dude, Bourbon Cowboy, Eve, Naked Peter) is excited to be fresh cougar bait! A recent alumni of Indiana University, he was last seen off-broadway as Oliver in Cole Porter’s Nymph Errant. He is also appearing in The Hinterlands, a musical web series premiering this fall. Thanks and love to the Cougar team, The Mine, my amazing family and Ryah.

CATHERINE PORTER (Lily through Sept. 16) has performed in Next To Normal on Broadway (stood by/performed the role of Diana Goodman); Sunset Boulevard Betty Schaefer in London’s West End and opposite Hugh Jackman in Australia and John and Jen to name a few. She sang opposite Michael Crawford in the Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber and was in THE BRIAN MAY BAND, supporting GUNS-N-ROSES on their world tour.  She’s a songwriter with 2 albums released.

CHERYL FREEMAN (Clarity, Winter-Spring 2013) Broadway credits include originating roles in The Who’s Tommy, Duke Ellington’s Play On, and The Civil War. She’s been nominated for the Drama Desk and Outer Critic Circle Awards. She’s also appeared in numerous TV and film roles.
